Are you open all year?

Almost. We’re open from 1st March to 19th February. Closing from 20th February and reopening 1st March.

Do you accept groups and how do I request adjoining pitches if booked separately?

Definitely! We are pleased to accommodate groups of friends or families. If your group will be booking separately but would like to be pitched together please add a note in the special requests section during booking, providing the name of the other party you would like to be pitch together with.

How do I make multiple bookings for a group?

Please complete the booking form for your first booking and then click Yes when asked if you would like to add another booking to your basket at checkout; then complete the booking form for the second booking. Repeat as necessary. If you book using this method, all pitches will be booked under the same name and where possible will be pitched together.

Do you accept same sex groups/recreational groups/hen/stag parties?

Yes, we accept same sex groups, recreational groups, hen and stag parties. For recreational groups for children please ensure there is an appropriate number of adults per child.

Do you offer seasonal pitches?

Yes we can offer seasonal pitches, however we are currently full.

Do you allow rallies?

Yes we do, we have a large dedicated rally field which can accommodate 60 Units.

All groups intending to hold a rally at Rose & Crown Camping Site must hold either:

  • Club Meetings or Rally Exemption
  • Supervised and Occupied Sites Exemption
What accommodation can we bring?

We welcome all guests with Mobile Caravans, Campervan, Motorhomes (Class A, B, B+ and C), Tents (2 man, Medium and Large) and Trailer Tents .

Can we hire accommodation from you?

Yes, we provide caravan hire are available weekly or on a short term basis with a minimum of 2 nights stay.

What is Max Occupancy and Inclusive Occupancy?

All accommodation is subject to maximum occupancy rate that must not be exceeded for health and safety.

All accommodation includes an inclusive occupancy rate. Additional guests outside of the inclusive occupancy rate and over the age of five years old will incur an additional charge. Additional guests aged 4 and under are free of charge. All additional guests are subject to the maximum occupancy rate.

Do you have electric hookup?

Yes we offer electric hookup to guests as an optional extra. This does incur a charge per night.

Electricity is supplied at 10A with 230V which gives a supply of 2.3kW.

Our supply is designed on the basis of diversity so that the main site supply is geared up to an average electrical usage not all hook-ups taking 10A at one time.

Guests must use an Electric Hook-up Connector and an extension at least 10 meters in length as you may be not be sited directly next to a hook-up point. Only one EHU is permitted to be connected per accommodation.

Please be considerate of other guests and the site and do not use high-energy consuming devices for prolonged periods or at the same time this includes electric car chargers, domestic kettles, fan heaters, water heaters and microwaves. This will avoid circuit breaker trips and loss of supply across the site.

What optional extras can we add?

Including Electric Hook-up you are also able to add Additional Guests, Dogs, Gazebos, Awnings, Tent Porches and Bedding (hired accommodation only) to your booking.

How do I make, amend or cancel a booking?

Head over to Caravan and Campsite Site and use the booking widget to book your next stay with us.

Do you offer refunds to cancelled bookings?

Yes we do please see our Cancellations and Refunds section in our Terms and Conditions.

What time can I check-in?

Guests using our Caravan and Camping site can check in at anytime. Though please be respectful of other guests.

Guests staying in our caravans can check in from 2 pm.

Are there marked pitches?

We don’t have any marked pitches. On arrival you will be directed to an area that has been allocated to you.

Can I use a barbecue, campfire or other open fires?

Free standing barbecues are permitted. Ground-level barbecues, campfires and any other other open fires are not permitted on our site in order to protect any and all vegetation.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, Dogs are allowed to join you during your stay and are welcome in the Rose & Crown Bar & Restaurant. For guests staying in our hired accommodation there is a fixed cleaning fee per dog (maximum of 2 dogs) for the length of your stay. Guests staying in their own accommodation may bring up to 2 dogs free of charge. If you are thinking of staying with us but want to bring more please give us a call first to discuss.

Are there toilets and showers on site?

We provide shower and toilet facilities for exclusive use of guests on our camping site. This includes three coin-operated showers, separate Male and Female toilets and one unisex disabled toilet. Our staff regularly monitor and clean these facilities on a daily basis.

What time do I need to check-out?

Guests using our camping site can leave at their leisure.

Guests staying in our caravans must check out by 10 am.

Remember to return your barrier access card.

Is the swimming pool free to use and when can I use it?

Our swimming pool is open to all guests from 10 am.

Please be aware our swimming pool may be closed during your visit.

Our swimming pool will close at either 7 pm or dusk depending on which is sooner.

Do I need a table reservation for Rose & Crown Restaurant?

Our restaurant is operated by Vicky’s Kitchen at Rose and Crown who are soon to be providing lovely home cooked meals, 7 days a week, 12pm till 7.30pm. Keep an eye on their Social Media for menus and any changes to service. They do not require a table reservation.

Directions and Map

Please avoid Low Road when travelling via Hurn Road/Marsh Road as it is a narrow residential lane. Rose & Crown Bar & Restaurant and Camping Site is situated at the top of Low Road which can be accessed by traveling further down Marsh Road rather than travelling up Low Road.

General Directions – From A17 turn down and follow Hurn Road/ Marsh Road. Turn right before the Rose & Crown and enter the car park.
